The Berlin-based Turkish-German Employers' Association (TDU), of which we are a member, held a New Year's Reception after two years. As in previous years, the interest in the reception was quite large. The fact that it coincided with the state parliament and city council elections to be held in Berlin on February 12 increased the interest of politicians, especially in the New Year's reception. Coming to Berlin to attend the Sustainable Agriculture Conference held in parallel with the Green Week Fair under the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişçi also attended the reception. TDU's invitation was attended by the Berlin Prime Minister Franziska Giffey (SPD), the CDU's prime minister candidate in the Berlin elections, Kai Wegner, and the FDP's prime minister candidate in the Berlin elections, Sebastian Czaja. Representatives of Turkish and German business people as well as non-governmental organizations were present at the invitation, which was attended by the Berlin Ambassador Ahmet Başar Şen and Consul General Rıfkı Olgun Yücekök and which was attended by approximately 500 guests.
